Shared ideas invite tension

An idea has no impact until it's shared; disagreement and tension are the productive fuel, not the threat.

You can have great ideas, but if you never share them, what good are they? What impact are you making? An idea that stays in your head doesn't do anything.

And sharing it opens it up to critique—which is the point, not the risk. Other people have different experiences; some have walked your journey before and see it differently. Disagreement stimulates growth. That's tension, and tension will inevitably exist. Better to let it expand the idea than to hide the idea from it.
