Favorite problems
Organize your thinking around a handful of favorite problems you keep circling—an idea garden where thoughts connect across revisits.
Years ago I wrote down twelve favorite problems—the questions I couldn't stop circling. I've forgotten the original list, but off the top of my head they're still the same: nephrology and how we teach patients, fatherhood and family, building something of my own.
So here's the frame: organize the thinking not as one-off posts but around a handful of problems you keep returning to, reaching a new level each time you come back. Call it an idea garden—my thoughts tend to connect, so they grow across visits instead of sitting alone. You don't need an endless supply of new questions. You just keep circling the ones that are already yours.
