A career is an expanding map
A career is an expanding map; you carry the experience of every village you've left behind.
Think of a career like the map in Age of Empires. You start in one settlement—call it Dialysis Technician Village—and you learn it cold.
Then you get your license and move to Nursing Village and find your bearings. Then to Nurse Leadership Village, then acute and chronic care, and the map just keeps expanding. You're no longer in that first village, and you don't know its latest updates—but you spent part of your upbringing there, so you still carry a good idea of what they do.
That's the quiet asset. Every village you leave, you take with you. The map only grows.
